"Natsu Matsuri" é um cartaz de festival de verão para 16 de agosto no Riverside Park, em estilo irezumi japonês. O letreiro de pincel preto fica numa nuvem creme sobre um dragão verde e dourado, peônias rosa e vermelhas, folhas de bordo e ondas índigo. A summer festival poster in the style of a Japanese irezumi back-piece design printed as an Edo woodblock, vertical 2:3, dense composition filling the frame edge to edge on cream washi paper with subtle woodblock grain in the flat colour. A huge dragon with vermilion-red and jade-green scales, golden belly plates, bold black outlines, a flowing white mane, sharp claws and a fierce open-mouthed face, coils diagonally from the lower left up to the upper right, its body weaving behind and around the title. Around it: crashing deep-indigo waves with curled claw-like foam tips along the bottom third, curling wind bars and stylised layered clouds in indigo, pink and cream filling every gap, peonies in peony pink and vermilion, cherry blossoms, and falling maple leaves. Black shading graded smoothly into the background bars; bare cream left as highlights. Flat, even daylight, no glow, no cast shadows. Text, all verbatim: at the top, small, in black brush on a cream cloud cartouche: "August 16 · 6 PM". In the middle, massive, filling about 70% of the width, the title "Natsu Matsuri" on two stacked lines, in upright, slightly condensed commercial Japanese brush lettering with solid black sumi strokes, even stroke weight, decisive terminals, and a thin vermilion outer edge, set over a large cream cloud-shaped cartouche edged in a black outline so it stays crisp, with the dragon's coils passing behind and one claw overlapping the cartouche edge. At the bottom, medium, in black brush on a cream wave-edged banner: "Riverside Park". Saturated traditional pigments: vermilion, deep indigo, jade green, golden yellow, peony pink, black, cream. The dragon among waves and clouds is the hero.
