"SPRING CUP" ist ein Plakat für das Karateturnier des Kaizen Dojo am 12. April im japanischen Irezumi-Stil. Turniername, Dojo, Datum und Titel lassen sich ersetzen, um ein eigenes Kampfsport-Plakat zu erstellen.

A karate dojo tournament poster in the style of a Japanese irezumi back-piece design, hand-drawn and woodblock-printed on cream washi paper with subtle print grain, flat even daylight, no glow, no cast shadows. One dense composition fills the whole portrait frame edge to edge. Centre tier: a massive title 'SPRING CUP' in two stacked lines across the middle, between the two beasts' heads. It is set in heavy, condensed, forceful shodo brush letterforms with abrupt entries and sword-cut tapering exits. The letters are sumi black with a thin vermilion inner edge and a cream outline separating them from the artwork. Bottom tier: a cream scroll-shaped cartouche with black outline over the waves reads 'APRIL 12' in bold black brush capitals, with 'KAIZEN DOJO' beneath in smaller vermilion brush capitals. Saturated traditional pigments: vermilion, deep indigo, jade green, golden yellow, peony pink, with bare cream as the highlights.
