A Japanese irezumi tattoo design for a calf, drawn as a single tall vertical piece on a plain cream washi paper ground with generous empty margins. Subject: a powerful Japanese tiger prowling downward along a diagonal S-curve, head turned toward the viewer with open jaws, fangs and a fierce brow. Bold, even black outlines of confident thick weight. Orange-vermilion fur with bold black stripes drawn as flat tapering brush shapes. Cream-white chest and muzzle. Whiskers drawn as clean, well-spaced fine lines. Claws extended and curled. Black shading graded smoothly from solid black into the ground behind the body and around the edges, as in traditional tattoo work. Bamboo: three or four tall jade-green bamboo stalks with clear segmented nodes and slim leaves rise on the left and right behind the tiger, outlined in black with open gaps between them. Maple leaves: seven to ten vermilion and golden-yellow maple leaves fall diagonally through the composition at varied sizes, each with a bold black outline and clear veins. Background filler: curling black-and-indigo wind bars and a few stylised clouds fill the gaps around the motif. Indigo waves with curled claw-like foam tips at the base hold the tiger's rear paws. Flat woodblock-print colour with faint paper grain, even daylight, no cast shadows, no glow. All line spacing is open enough to stay readable and stencil cleanly at tattoo scale. No text, no letters, no numbers, no banners, no swallows, no photorealism. The whole design sits inside a safe margin of about 8% on every side.
