What is the Handwritten Casual font?
Handwritten Casual is a relaxed everyday hand with the quality of ordinary ballpoint writing: a slight rightward lean, minimal thick-thin contrast, the endearing imperfections of non-calligraphic handwriting and simplified natural letterforms with no elaborate flourishes. It suits personal notes, friendship cards and warm, casual brands.

Why does ballpoint handwriting have such even, thin lines with almost no thick-thin?
Because of how a ballpoint works: a tiny rolling ball delivers a fixed, thin line of ink no matter how you hold or press the pen. Thick-and-thin contrast in writing comes from a tool whose mark changes width — a fountain pen's flexible nib spreads under pressure, a broad nib is wide in one direction and narrow in another, a brush swells and thins. A ballpoint has none of that: its ink is a thick oil-based paste picked up by a small metal ball that rolls as you move the pen, and the ball only ever lays down a line as wide as itself, in every direction, regardless of speed or pressure. So ballpoint writing comes out almost perfectly monoline — even, thin and uniform. That plainness is exactly what makes it read as ordinary, everyday handwriting rather than calligraphy: the tool strips away the contrast that formal hands rely on, leaving the simple, honest look of a note jotted with whatever pen was on the desk.
