"TORA" ist ein breiter Druck im japanischen Stil mit einem fauchenden Tiger auf einem Felsen, nach Art von Irezumi und Ukiyo-e. Der Tiger kauert zwischen roten und rosa Pfingstrosen, blauen Wellen, Kirschblüten und Ahornblättern, dahinter eine rote Sonne und der Fuji, unten links rote Pinselschrift. A widescreen desktop wallpaper in traditional Japanese irezumi style, drawn as a full back-piece design and filling the frame edge to edge. Bold black outlines, flat hand-printed colour, smooth cream washi paper with subtle woodblock grain, even daylight, no glow and no cast shadows. A large muscular tiger crouches on a rocky outcrop in the upper-left two-thirds, body coiled diagonally from lower-left to upper-right, head turned toward the viewer with open jaws and fangs, fierce golden eyes. Its coat is golden-orange with bold black stripes in sweeping woodcut curves, cream fur tufts at the cheeks and chest, and black shading graded smoothly into the background. Behind it hangs a huge flat vermilion-red sun disc, upper right, with a thin cream halo ring. Below, deep indigo and jade-green waves crash in rhythmic curls, with claw-like cream foam tips grasping upward, layered with white-outlined swirling water lines. Dense curling wind bars and stylised cream-and-indigo clouds pack every gap in the sky. Pink and red peonies with jade leaves cluster at the rock base, cherry blossoms and falling maple leaves drift across the scene. At lower left, riding the wave crest, the single word "TORA" in huge heavy hand-painted brush capitals, solid vermilion red with a thick black outline and a thin cream inner edge, slightly flared brush terminals and dry-brush nicks, spanning about 30% of the frame width and clear of the tiger's face. The composition has a strong diagonal energy and a dense, saturated palette of vermilion, indigo, jade, golden yellow and peony pink, with bare cream as the highlights.
