Every bow symbol worth copying, on one page: the 🎀 bow emoji, the little text bows ୨୧ ౨ৎ 𐙚 𝜗𝜚 ᡣ𐭩 that aesthetic bios are full of, cute bow combos with sparkles and flowers, bow dividers for separating a bio, and bow kaomoji. Tap any of them to copy it, or type a name into the bow font generator to write it in 150+ bow fonts. The labelled cards at the top say what each text bow really is, because most of them are not bows at all: they are digits and letters from other writing systems that happen to look like a ribbon. Want bows drawn into the letters of a name instead? Try the Coquette Bow Font.
Bow symbols fall into two groups, and they behave differently.
The bow emoji 🎀 and the reminder ribbon 🎗️ are real emoji. Every current phone and computer shows them, but each platform draws its own picture, so the colour and shape change between iPhone, Android and Windows.
The text bows ୨୧ ౨ৎ 𐙚 𝜗𝜚 ᡣ𐭩 are borrowed letters and digits. ୨୧ and ౨ৎ come from Indian scripts that most systems include, so they are usually safe. 𐙚 (Linear A) and 𐭩 (Inscriptional Pahlavi) come from historic scripts that fewer fonts cover, and they are the ones most likely to show as an empty box on an older phone or in some apps. That is a general expectation based on how widely fonts include these scripts, not a test of every device, so paste it and look before you rely on it.
If a bow has to show for everyone, use 🎀 or ୨୧.
There is only one character in Unicode that is officially a bow: 🎀, named Ribbon. Every other text bow is a character from another writing system that happens to look like one.
- ୨୧ — Oriya digits two and one (U+0B68, U+0B67)
- ౨ৎ — Telugu digit two (U+0C68) and Bengali khanda ta (U+09CE)
- ۶ৎ — Extended Arabic-Indic digit six (U+06F6) and khanda ta
- 𐙚 — Linear A sign A306 (U+1065A), from a Bronze Age script that has never been deciphered
- 𝜗𝜚 — Mathematical italic theta and rho symbols (U+1D717, U+1D71A)
- ᡣ𐭩 — Mongolian letter Sibe ka (U+1863) and Inscriptional Pahlavi yodh (U+10B69)
- ʚɞ — Latin small letters closed open e and closed reversed open e (U+029A, U+025E), from the phonetic alphabet
This is also why they do not behave like emoji: they are letters, so they are one colour, they follow the font, and they only show if the font includes that script.
There is no single bow font in Unicode. What people share as a bow font is a combination of two parts:
- A letter style — script 𝓛𝓾𝓷𝓪, bubble Ⓛⓤⓝⓐ, outline 𝕃𝕦𝕟𝕒 or small caps ʟᴜɴᴀ
- Bows around or after it — the 🎀 emoji, or text bows such as ୨୧, ౨ৎ, 𐙚 and ʚ ɞ
This generator puts the two together for you, so you do not have to copy the letters and the bows separately.
🎀 the emoji is full colour and the same size as other emoji. It is the clearest bow and it works everywhere, but it looks slightly different on each platform.
Text bows like ୨୧ and 𐙚 are small, one colour, and sit on the line like letters. That makes them the quieter choice for a soft, minimal bio, and they match the colour of the text around them.
A common mix is one emoji bow and text bows around it, for example ୨୧ 🎀 ୨୧.
- After a name — Mia ౨ৎ or Luna 🎀
- Around a name — ୨୧ Luna ୨୧ or ʚ Luna ɞ
- As a divider — a line like ────୨ৎ──── between sections of a bio
- At the start of each line — 𐙚 for a soft list of interests
Some usernames only allow letters, numbers, dots and underscores, so a bow may be removed there. Display names and bios usually accept them.
🎀 started as a gift ribbon, so it still reads as a present, a celebration or something sweet. Today it is also the signature symbol of the coquette aesthetic: soft pink, ribbons, lace and pearls, used to make a post or a bio look girly and pretty.
🎗️ is different. The reminder ribbon stands for awareness campaigns and remembrance, so it is not a decoration to drop into a cute bio.
- iPhone and Android — open the emoji keyboard and search for ribbon or bow
- Windows — press Windows key + . to open the emoji panel, then search for ribbon
- Mac — press Control + Command + Space and search for ribbon
The text bows like ୨୧ and 𐙚 have no keyboard shortcut, so copying them from this page is the practical way.
A copy-paste bow font is text, so it stays editable and works in any app, but the bows can only sit next to the letters.
If you want ribbon bows drawn onto the letters themselves, for a card, a sticker or a post, make it as a picture with the Coquette Bow Font. You type the text and get a PNG or JPG.
