What is the Carved Pumpkin font?
Carved Pumpkin is a jack-o-lantern display: each letter carved as a hollow opening in thick orange pumpkin rind, with a warm candle-glow firelight pouring out from inside. It is the freshly-lit trick-or-treat lantern look, self-contained — festive, warm and unmistakably Halloween.
Can I download Carved Pumpkin?
There is no installable file. You type your text and the generator carves those letters into the pumpkin and lights them from within, fitting the glow to your actual shapes, and returns a high-resolution image.
Where does this style work best?
Halloween parties and invitations, seasonal branding, trick-or-treat and candy packaging, autumn events, kids and family graphics, festive signage. Set it large on a dark ground so the glow reads.
Can I use it for commercial work?
Yes. Generated images may be used commercially, including packaging, cards and print. No licence or attribution is required.
Why does the candle glow come only through the carved letters, not the whole pumpkin?
Because the pumpkin rind is thick and opaque, so light simply cannot pass through it — except where the carving cuts all the way through the wall. A lit candle inside a pumpkin throws light in every direction, but the solid orange flesh blocks it completely; the only escape route is the openings that have been cut clear through to the hollow interior. So the glow pours out through exactly those cut shapes and nowhere else, which is why a jack-o-lantern reads as dark rind with bright letters rather than a uniformly glowing ball. There is a second, subtler cue: right at the bevelled edge of each cut, the rind is thinned but not fully removed, so a little firelight seeps through it and gives the opening a warm glowing rim. Reproducing both — bright light through the openings, a soft glow at the cut edges, and darkness everywhere else — is what makes the letters read as a real carved, candle-lit pumpkin.
