A Japanese irezumi-style art print, ready to frame, in portrait format, filling the whole sheet edge to edge like an Edo woodblock print on smooth cream washi paper with subtle woodblock grain in the flat colour areas. Flat, even daylight on paper, no glow, no cast shadows. Centre: two koi circling each other in a tight yin-yang loop, nose to tail. One koi is vermilion red with gold-yellow scale highlights, the other deep indigo blue with cream-white scale edges. Each is drawn with bold black outlines, overlapping scales in neat rows, flowing whisker barbels, fan-like translucent tails and fins with fine black line veining. Their bodies sweep diagonally through the frame, swirling bodies forming a round shape in the upper-middle two-thirds of the canvas. Around them: dense stylised waves in indigo and jade green with white curled claw-like foam tips crashing in the lower half and at both sides; curling wind bars and flat stylised clouds in cream and pale gold fill every gap in the upper corners, with black shading graded smoothly into the background bars. Pink and white cherry blossoms in clusters and pink peonies with jade leaves drift among the waves, with a few falling vermilion maple leaves. Bare cream is left as highlights. Title: the words "Fortune Flows" in two stacked lines, set across the lower third inside a cream cloud-shaped cartouche with a thin black outline, which waves lap around. Letters are heavy upright brush-calligraphy capitals and lowercase in sumi black, thick-thin brush strokes with dry-edge texture, crisp tapered terminals, each line about 55% of the canvas width, with a thin vermilion outline on the letters. Perfectly legible, nothing overlaps the letters. No other text. Palette: vermilion red, deep indigo, jade green, golden yellow, peony pink, black outlines, cream paper. Fine thin cream margin border line framing the print.
