FontVibe's Calligraphy Font Generator converts your plain text into elegant Unicode calligraphy and script styles you can copy and paste directly into Instagram bios, Pinterest captions, wedding invitations, or anywhere else text is accepted. The styles draw from Unicode's Mathematical Script block, combined with optional flourish decorations, to produce that flowing, hand-lettered look without any design software. Type a word, pick a variant — from clean Cursive to ornate Sparkle Script — and tap to copy in one click. Prefer a flowing handwritten style? The Cursive Font Generator is a natural companion.

Each calligraphy variant on this page maps to a different region of the Unicode standard, and device rendering depends entirely on whether the operating system's fonts cover that region. The Cursive and Script styles pull from the Mathematical Script block (U+1D400 range), which has broad but not universal coverage — most modern Android and iOS devices handle it fine, but some budget Android handsets running older system fonts will show empty squares (called "tofu") instead of the styled letters. Cursive Flourish and Sparkle Script are marked Risky because they combine Mathematical Script characters with decorative Unicode symbols (such as combining diacritics or ornamental punctuation) that many apps actively strip or fail to render — this is especially common inside app-native text fields on older Android versions and some embedded webviews. Italic carries a High compatibility rating because the Unicode italic math letters it uses are included in virtually every modern OS system font (Android 9+, iOS 13+, Windows 10+, macOS Mojave+). If you're preparing text for a platform you haven't tested, start with Italic or Bold Italic, then step up to Cursive or Script once you've confirmed rendering. The high-compatibility filter in the variant grid lets you hide Risky and Medium styles with one click, so you only see the options most likely to display correctly for your audience.
People search all three for the same thing, but they aren't identical:
Calligraphy is the art of beautiful lettering — decorative, with deliberate thick-and-thin strokes (traditionally drawn with a nib or brush). The focus is ornament and craft.
Cursive is joined-up handwriting — connected, slanted, fast. Script is a font category that imitates either one.
In copy-paste land, Unicode gives you a small set of handwriting-style alphabets — mainly Script (𝒶𝒷𝒸) and Bold Script (𝓪𝓫𝓬). They read as elegant and calligraphic, but be aware: Unicode can't reproduce true brush strokes or join letters, so this is a stylish approximation, not real penmanship.
