A tattoo lettering design reading "Faith Over Fear" in black Old English blackletter stacked on two lines. The shorter "Faith" is centred above "Over Fear", with ornate swirled capitals, sharp angular strokes and a flat finish on an off-white ground. Swap in your own motto and keep the same blackletter for a bold tattoo stencil.

A tattoo lettering reference sheet: the words "Faith" on the first line and "Over Fear" on the second line, in Old English blackletter, stacked and centered as one compact block that fills about 70% of the canvas width and 75% of its height, with a generous safe margin on all sides. Letterforms: heavy dense vertical strokes with strong thick-thin contrast from a broad-nib pen, broken angular strokes, crisp diamond and spear-point terminals, sharp angular breaks, softly rounded arches. The capitals F, O and F are large and elaborate, with a few bold curved spurs, and the lowercase letters are compact. Keep every stroke thick and clean. Leave open gaps between letters so they never touch or merge, and keep the counters inside a, e, o and r open. Use no hairline ornaments. The two lines are tightly stacked with clear air between the descenders and the ascenders, and the second line is slightly wider than the first. The ink is glossy solid jet-black with crisp sign-painter edges and a very faint soft grey shadow beneath the letters. The ground is a plain smooth warm cream paper with no texture, no border, no other text and no other symbols. Flat, even, soft light so the letter edges read cleanly for stencil tracing.
