rendered as classic college varsity lettering — bold upright collegiate block capitals in the Graduate lineage, wide and sturdy with even heavy strokes and squared slab serifs. LETTERFORM: chunky athletic letterforms with generous even weight, flat squared slab feet and broad counters, the timeless look of American college athletics. VARSITY CONSTRUCTION: each letter built like a stitched tackle-twill patch — a double-layer felt appliqué with a bold contrasting keyline just inside the outline and a visible zigzag chain-stitch tracing every edge, as on a letterman jacket and jersey. A subtle raised felt thickness and soft cast shadow lift the letters off the surface. SURFACE: matte wool-felt and chenille texture with fibrous nap. Heavy, blocky and spirited — the look of varsity jackets, campus merch and team lettering. the kind of preppy Christmas card or gift tag a classic, put-together family actually sends. GRAPHIC LANGUAGE: crisp graphic patterns — gingham, tartan plaid, candy and ticking stripes, argyle — used as borders, background panels or a patchwork of squares, with neat bows, a monogram crest or wreath, and the words on a clean cream or white panel. LIGHT: clean, bright, even light, like a well-lit stationery flat lay. COLOUR: classic red, kelly or hunter green and navy, with cream and touches of pink; one metallic gold-foil accent used in one or two places. TEXTURE: smooth card stock, woven fabric look on the plaid and gingham, crisp gold foil. TIERS: classic plaid tier (red and green tartan, navy, gold) / pink preppy tier (pink, red and green stripes and gingham, playful bows).
