A three-masted sailing ship on blue curling waves above a yellow ribbon banner reading "HOMEWARD BOUND", drawn as an American traditional tattoo design. Cream sails with black shading, a red hull with yellow trim, a red pennant, black serif capitals on the banner, and gold sparkles around it on white. Change the banner words or the ship colours.

A single American traditional (old school) tattoo flash design on a plain clean white ground, one self-contained vertical emblem sized for a thigh, with a wide white safe margin on all sides. At the top and centre: a classic three-masted sailing ship heeled slightly to the right, riding rolling waves. Square sails billow full, with a few bold curved fold lines. Hull, masts, rigging and a small flag are all drawn in heavy, even black outline. The sails are flat cream-white with solid black shading down their left sides. The hull is flat red with a mustard yellow stripe along the gunwale and solid black shading on its left side. The flag at the masthead is flat red. Rigging is kept to a few thick, widely spaced black lines. Beneath the hull, stylised rolling waves in flat sky blue and white curl into bold rounded crests, each wave closed by thick black outline, with solid black shading in the troughs. Small leaf-green and yellow accents are limited to the flag pennant and a few wave highlights. Four-point sparkles, dots and short radiating dashes fill the gaps around the sails. Below the ship, one long waving ribbon banner with its middle section facing the viewer and each end folding back behind it into a forked swallowtail tail. The banner has a heavy even black outline and a flat light mustard yellow fill, solid black where the ribbon turns behind itself, and two thin curved lines at each fold. Across the centre band, in bold upright black capitals with small wedge serifs, centred and following the curve of the ribbon, with generous gaps between letters and each letter fully inside the band: "HOMEWARD BOUND". Every shape is closed by bold black outline of even weight with flat solid colour inside. Flat opaque ink, no gradients, no soft shading, no fine detail, no texture, no cast shadows. Palette: black, red, mustard yellow, leaf green, a little sky blue, on white. The linework is open and simple enough for a tattoo artist to redraw and stencil.
