"Nothing, it was on the house!" is the punchline of a Christmas joke card asking how much Santa paid for his sleigh, in a vintage printed style. Cream card stock carries chunky cream lettering with red shadows and green outlines beside a snowy cottage with a red sleigh on its roof and a red "FREE" tag. Remake it with your own question, punchline and tag word, or swap the house and sleigh colors.

Create a finished landscape Christmas joke card for printing or sharing, in a vintage mid-century holiday postcard style. Use aged warm-cream cardstock with fine paper grain, flat painted shapes, slightly imperfect printed edges and subtle color misregistration. Limited palette: cherry red, teal, warm cream, snowy white, and deep evergreen. Keep a generous safe margin and strong legibility at small size. Set the exact joke text, with no additions or changes: top-left setup, “How much did Santa pay for his sleigh?”; below it, make the punchline the largest and boldest text, “Nothing, it was on the house!” Break the punchline into two balanced lines if needed, preserving the wording and punctuation. Use lively, chunky retro display lettering with sturdy rounded forms, open counters, cream faces, a crisp dark-teal outline and a restrained cherry-red offset shadow. Keep both joke lines clear and separate from the illustration. On the right, draw one simple, funny flat-painted scene: Santa’s red sleigh parked squarely on the snowy roof of a small cream-and-red house, with a little red “FREE” tag hanging visibly from the sleigh. Make the sleigh and roof instantly readable, with a few stylized snow caps and one tiny star; do not add other Christmas motifs. Keep the illustration away from the words. The tag is the only other text. Cheerful, clean, family-friendly, playful printed-card finish; no photorealism, no extra lettering, no border that crowds the safe margin.
